Nancy Baker is a Strategic Operations executive with over two decades of leadership experience at financial institutions including Charles Schwab and Silicon Valley Bank. Having served as the Chief Operating Officer for the SVB Foundation, Nancy has a proven track record of driving large-scale philanthropic impact, notably through the mobilization of high-impact employee volunteer engagement programs that directly benefited the Downtown Tempe community. A seasoned director with a deep commitment to civic health, Nancy currently serves as Treasurer for the Downtown Tempe Foundation Board and has spent years shaping the local community through City of Tempe committees focused on Arts, Urban Landscape, and Neighborhood Safety.

A US Rowing Lifetime Member and active rower with the City of Tempe Town Lake Rowing (TTLR) for over 15 years, she is guided by the philosophy of pioneer Lucy Pocock: “The river makes no distinction; it only asks for your heart and your rhythm.” Nancy is currently exploring ways to bridge high-performance athletic concepts with inclusive community leadership models that leverage modern operational rigor to democratize access to the water for our Valley rowing and international community.
