Nikki Amberg
City of Tempe Councilmember
Nikki Amberg has made Tempe her home for more than 25 years. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and a Master of Education from Louisiana State University. With an unwavering passion for public policy and non-profit work, Nikki’s experience spans from active involvement in political campaigns to serving on nonprofit boards and spearheading fundraising initiatives. Her involvement on the boards of Tempe Community Council and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona firsthand insight into the needs, aspirations, and concerns of the city’s diverse population. As a Councilmember, Nikki has started up the Revitalization of Tempe Town Lake Subcommittee, which is focusing on the revitalization efforts of Rio Salado/Tempe Town Lake. Her priorities include addressing constituent concerns regarding limited activities on the north bank of the lake, supporting the area’s appeal as a premier visitor destination, and collaborating with the Rio Salado Master Plan and Arizona State University Rio Reimagined initiative. She aims to enhance both the north and south banks of Tempe Town Lake, fostering increased activities and development across both areas.
